Snowdrop Launches Helps Payroll And IT Move Closer PAYadvice, September 2004 Snowdrop Systems is launching a new version of its software, which enables customers to link HR and payroll to their organisation's IT network. Version 5.2 of the HR and payroll modules are designed to streamline communication between HR and IT departments, as well as speed up processes for new starters and enable customers to recruit more efficiently through their intranet and web site. The updated software creates network access for new employees as soon as their data is entered into the HR system. Access can also be disabled when an employee leaves the organisation (triggered when the employee's leaving date is entered into the system), protecting against potential security breaches. The software also links into an email system so that an email address and account is set up for the new starter and these details communicated to other departments. "For a new employee, turning up on their first day, and finding they don't have network access or an email account can be very off-putting", says Michael Richards, Snowdrop's chief executive. "Not only this, but the security risks in not revoking network account privileges when an employee leaves can be considerable." Snowdrop has also upgraded its Evergreen employee records module, which helps keep up with employment legislation and features more sophisticated absence management technology. |
