Northampton College Enrols Snowdrop

Northampton College will be implementing HR and Payroll software from Snowdrop Systems. The college has purchased the entire modular range from Snowdrop, encompassing recruitment, personnel records management, training administration, succession planning, Payroll and e-HR.

Northampton’s recent merger with Daventry College in August 2004, brought about a pressing need for combined HR and Payroll software to cope with its 1200 staff. An integrated system is imperative for consistent data required for internal reports, and in the provision of accurate information for the Learning and Skills Council.

U-Access, Snowdrop’s on-line module, is expected to streamline existing processes through providing access to staff, who can update details via the intranet. Snowdrop Workflow will trigger e-mails to line managers, who can then complete processes on-line. U-Access will also provide managers with easy access to reports, in key areas such as absence management. HR Services Manager, Janet Hutchinson, hopes that web access will facilitate better involvement for part-time staff and ease communication across the organisation.
