Snowdrop Wins Customer Excellence Award
December 2004

Snowdrop is proud to announce that it has won the Growing Business Awards’ Customer Excellence Award. The awards were held on December 2nd at the London Hilton on Park Lane and attended by some of the largest names in British business, including The Royal Bank of Scotland, Vodafone and Investors in People. Michael Richards, Chief Executive of Snowdrop, collected the award.

The awards have been held since 1999, as the result of a collaboration between Real Business Magazine and the CBI and are now regarded as one of the highest standards for entrepreneurial achievement, with increasing support from big business sponsors. William Hague compered the awards to demonstrate his recognition of exceptional performance by growing businesses in the UK. The ceremony was also attended by Gordon Brown, Chancellor of the Exchequer, who addressed an audience of more than 600 of the UK’s leading entrepreneurs.

The company attributes its success, including a 92% client retention rate, to an innovative approach to customer services, defined by the mission statement Always Exceed Customer Expectations. Recent measures to revamp the project delivery team, such as the new ’stem’ structure to ensure a more customer-focused delivery, are part of a wider culture of supportive teamwork both internally and externally. The stems are teams comprised of 3 technical developers and 2 project managers that between them look after an entire client project for more streamlined project-delivery and internal ownership of each project.

Snowdrop has also been listed number 40 in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in London and the South East. Rankings are based on average percentage revenue growth over five years, from 1999-2004, during which Snowdrop grew 165%. This is the 2nd year that Snowdrop has been listed and the company expects even greater success in 2005.
