TUC Trains up with Snowdrop's HR Software
The TUC (Trade Unions Congress) has upgraded its HR software with Snowdrop and bought Snowdrop's training administration software, to further reduce administration and provide an improved service to its employees. The TUC will be upgrading Snowdrop's Spring (recruitment); Evergreen (personnel records management) and U-Access (online access for line managers and employees) modules. The new Fountain (training administration) module will be used in conjunction with U-Access, which currently enables staff to update personal information and book leave. With Fountain, line managers and employees will be able to view training records and track the progression of development review objectives. John Grace, Training and Development Officer for the TUC, anticipates that by introducing electronic training records, they will not only be able to automate a large number of training processes, but also evaluate the training delivered. He says: "Through using Fountain we will be able to map training and development needs to better meet organisational objectives." The TUC employs 312 members of staff, based throughout England and Wales. Increasing the availability of information through online functionality, is therefore invaluable in maintaining both up-to-date and accurate records. |
