Sports Council for Wales Limbers up for Online Software The Sports Council for Wales, the organisation responsible for developing and promoting sport and recreation in Wales, has bought self-service software from Snowdrop. The Sports Council for Wales implemented Snowdrops HR software in 2001 to manage the records of its 200 employees. The move to U-Access, Snowdrops online module, will make a number of HR activities more streamlined. A key benefit of U-Access will be enabling employees to book holidays online. Previously paper records were issued to employees at the beginning of the year, to be returned with their requests. From April all requests will be handled online, eliminating the paper trail and saving time. Sickness absence recording will be another area where administrative time will be saved, as line managers will put these records straight into U-Access. As well as the above facilities, employees will be able to view their reward package and update their personal details online. Kerry Chown, HR Manager for the Sports Council, comments: Using U-Access will provide great time savings by stopping the double process we have with paper forms. I am planning to enable line managers to add training requests directly onto the system over the coming months, which will again reduce the paper trail and save time. |
