South West of England Regional Development Agency Introduces HR Software April 2007 The South West of England Regional Development Agency (RDA) has bought HR software from Snowdrop to increase efficiency and integrate its HR processes. The Agency will be implementing Snowdrop's Evergreen (HR records management), Spring (recruitment), Fountain (training administration) and U-Access (online access for line managers and employees) modules. The software will replace its existing paper-based systems and spreadsheets. A key benefit of the new system will be the ability to easily access employee information. Through introducing an integrated HR system, staff responsible for the whole range of HR functions, including learning and development, recruitment, management information, employee relations and administration, will be able to view and update information from one central source. This will increase the quality of customer service and reduce the amount of time spent creating and amending records. The South West RDA has decided to adopt a phased implementation, to ensure optimum take-up of the system, and will roll out the online software, U-Access, at a later stage. U-Access will allow senior managers to update and check information, and enable employees to review and update data, such as address and bank changes. Rick Glover, Head of Human Resources at the Agency, says: "Through introducing Snowdrop we are enabling managers to directly oversee and deliver their team's HR requirements. This will allow HR to develop its role by providing more effective professional support, and work in partnership with managers; this will ultimately bring more value to the Agency." The Agency has also been particularly impressed with the standard of conduct from Snowdrop's personnel. Rosie Henstridge, Senior Project Manager, comments: "The Snowdrop team has been good to work with; professional, open and honest since the start of the tendering process." |
