Solihull & Arden Club Consults Snowdrop for HR Legal Compliance October 2007 Solihull Arden Club, a private members’ racket sports club, has bought HR Consultancy services from HR & Payroll software and services supplier, Snowdrop. The club currently has some 1200 members and is run by 15 employees, of which 13 work part-time. As HR expertise amongst the volunteer management team is limited, the club felt that consultancy was imperative to keep a minimum set of HR documentation in place and thereby ensure legislative compliance. Solihull Arden chose Snowdrop to deliver HR Consultancy following help previously provided by the Snowdrop helpline. Consultants have already met with club management on two occasions, to revise policies and discuss next steps. By implementing new Snowdrop HR policies, David Calcutt, Treasurer for the club, expects the club to meet statutory obligations and avoid costly penalties. He comments: “With increasingly onerous HR legislation, there are dangerous consequences if you do not have sufficient and reliable HR policies in place.” |
