Penningtons Solicitors LLP Firms up with HR Software Penningtons Solicitors LLP (Penningtons), has bought HR software from HR and Payroll software & services provider, Snowdrop, to improve the data management of its 300 employees and increase efficiencies company-wide. The firm, with offices in the City of London, Basingstoke and Godalming, will be implementing Snowdrop’s Evergreen (personnel records management) and U-Access (online access for line managers and employees) modules, with Snowdrop Directory Services (SDS). The SDS tool will provide connectivity between the Snowdrop application and Penningtons’ active directory, ensuring that new starter e-mail and network accounts are set up automatically, with reduced HR and IT intervention. Currently electronic forms must be filled out and passed to IT when an employee joins the organisation. With SDS this process will be removed, preventing the kinds of unnecessary delays that create a negative impression upon new employees. Snowdrop’s workflow tool will assist similarly to SDS, in reducing unnecessary administration through the delivery of automated reminders to both HR and line managers, regarding probation end dates, pending retirements and long service awards. Benefits of the new software will include: better reporting functionality to produce information required for business tenders; integration of the online module with Penningtons’ intranet, enabling easy access for employees to view and update their details and increased reliability of personnel information due to consolidation of data.
