Control Risks Goes Global with HR Information
April 2007

Control Risks, the independent specialist risk consultancy, has bought HR software from Snowdrop to manage employee information more effectively and reduce administration.

Control Risks will be implementing Snowdrop's Spring (recruitment); Evergreen (personnel) and U-Access (online access for line managers and employees) modules. The software is being introduced as part of an overall business strategy to become the leading consultancy in its sector, as it will enable the HR team to more easily recruit, train and retain employees.

The U-Access system will be key to supporting the business globally, as managers and employees will be able to view and update information from its 20 offices worldwide. Control Risks employs HR specialists in Singapore, Mexico and Washington, therefore providing access to them will be vital in maintaining data integrity.

The system's flexibility will also be invaluable to the organisation, as Snowdrop's user-definable screens will enable the HR teams to store legislative information relevant to the different countries, at no extra cost.

The system is to be implemented in two phases. In phase one, personnel records and recruitment will be centralised in London. In phase two, Control Risks' 800 employees will have access to information at each of its offices.

Elliot Daly, Global Programme Manager, comments that Control Risks was impressed by Snowdrop's conduct during the selection process, he says: "Not only did the staff understand the issues surrounding HR, they also had good product knowledge." In addition, HR users felt that they could quickly and simply extract information from the system, ensuring day-to-day ease-of-use.
