Have you ever wondered how much time you spend requesting to set up and remove network user accounts for your employees? Each new starter, leaver or simply the change of name of an employee usually means HR has to change the information not only in the HR system but then separately with the IT/Network team to make sure all business systems and system access is updated.
Snowdrop has now developed a new, optional modular component, Snowdrop Directory Services (SDS), which offers connectivity between your HR and Payroll solution and your Microsoft Active Directory. SDS enables network administrators to manage information linked to employees, such as network user accounts, e-mail accounts, employee grass-roots data and address details.
For example, once new starter information has been recorded in the HR solution, automatic network access and identity can be created. This information will then be shared across all other business systems, as required. Creating employee network accounts correctly and on time for a new starter is invaluable in creating the right impression with a new employee. SDS can also disable network access according to someone's leaving date in the HR system and it will reflect name changes and extension numbers wherever they are needed. Revoking network account privileges is a critical task, reducing your exposure to risks when an employee leaves.
